NECKLACE PENDANT
The huacas of Panama are small pre-Columbian objects, often sculpted or molded in gold, copper, silver, jade, stone, or ceramic. Modest in size (2 to 15 cm), they depict humans, animals, or mythical beings and are much more than simple ornaments: they are true ritual jewels.
They were used to accompany the dead in funerary rites, to honor gods and spirits in religious rituals, and to signify the social status of their owners.
Their style varies by region:
Stylized figures and graphic silhouettes, animals and warriors, highly detailed and refined miniatures.
These huacas are genuine treasures full of history and spirituality, bearing witness to the art and beliefs of pre-Columbian civilizations in Panama.
Can be worn as jewelry or displayed in a frame.
